    Note that the actual range depends on the respective con- struction materials used for the buildings as well as the re- spective position of the base unit and the outdoor sensor. External influences (various radio transmitters and other sources of interference) can greatly reduce the possible range.

    10 Receiving measurements automatically Once batteries are installed, the base station will display the measurement readings. Readings from the remote sensor will be displayed within 3 minutes after powering it on. 11 Select channel In normal display mode, press the CH/UP button on the base station several times to select the desired channel.

    In normal display mode, press the ALERT button several times to display the currently set high/low alarm values. Se- quence: High values (HI AL) > Low values (LO AL) > Normal mode Disable when an alarm is active Press the Alert button to stop the alarm sound. HI AL or LO AL continues to flash on the screen.

    14 Trend arrow indicators Rising Steady Falling The temperature and humidity trend indicator shows the trends of changes in the forthcoming few minutes. Arrows indicate a rising, steady or falling trend. 15 Temperature display In normal display mode, press the MEM/DOWN key for 3 seconds to toggle between °C and °F.
