2 Maintaining Disks

A PS5000 array includes up to 16 hot-swappable disks, either Serial Attached
SCSI (SAS) disks or Serial ATA (SATA) disks, depending on the type of control
module.

Interpreting Disk LEDs

Figure 2-1shows how disks are numbered in a PS5000 array.
Figure 2-2 shows how to identify the type of disk (SAS or SATA) and shows the
disk LEDs. Table 2-1 describes the LEDs.
