I just purchased this drive. IRONWOLF Pro. S/N. WRQ2T8W0 with the
# ST8000NT001. When I go to register, it says I have # S/N ST8000NTZ01. Do I have the correct product or did I purchase one of these Fake ones on the market. Also, This in my first unit. I have no idea how to hook it up as no wires came with it.

To check if your Seagate IRONWOLF PRO ST10000NT001 drive is genuine, go to the warranty page and click on the “Is my Drive under Warranty” link. Enter the drive serial number, model number (or part number), and country of purchase. The system will display the warranty information for your drive.
For connecting the drive, you need a SATA signal cable and a power cable, which are not included with the drive. The SATA signal cable consists of four conductors in two differential pairs and three ground connections. It can be 30 to 26 AWG in size and up to one meter (39.37 inches) in length. Either end of the SATA cable can be attached to the drive or host. The drive supports latching SATA connectors and can be hot-plugged if your system supports it.
