IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER.

As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically live even when the switch is off.

To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:

1. Always "unplug it" immediately after using.
2. DO NOT use while bathing.
3. DO NOT place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink
4. DO NOT use near, place in, or drop into water or other liquid.
5. If an appliance into water, "unplug it" immediately. DO NOT reach into the water.
6. DO NOT use an appliance whose cord has become twisted, bent or otherwise damaged.

To reduce the risk of bums, fire, electrocution, or Injury to persons:

1. An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Tum off the switch and unplug the electrical cord when not in use.
2. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or individuals with certain disabilities.
3. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. DO NOT use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
4. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped into water. Return the appliance to a service center for examination and repair.

NOTE: Helen of Troy L.P. does not have an authorized service center. However, if this appliance is still under warranty, return it to the Helen of Troy Consumer Service Department for replacement.

5. Keep the cord and appliance away from heated surfaces. DO NOT pull, twist or wrap the cord around the appliance.
6. Never use while sleeping.
7. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
8. DO NOT use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered
9. Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
10. DO NOT direct hot air toward eyes or other heat sensitive areas.
11. Attachments (when furnished) may become hot during use. Allow them to cool before handling.
12. DO NOT place the appliance on any surface while it is operating.
13. While using the appliance, keep your hair away from the air inlets.
14. DO NOT operate this appliance with a voltage converter.
15. DO NOT use an extension cord with this appliance.

Operating Instructions

This appliance is intended tor household use only.

Revlon anti-static IONIC dryers are designed for safety and performance. This appliance may have polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safe feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature. For U.S. residents only: In the event of immersion, the protective device will not allow the appliance to operate.
Periodically check the safety plug to verify that it is in proper working order. Simply place the plug into the outlet and press the test button. The appliance should immediately stop. To resume operating the appliance, press the reset button. In the event fire test button does not work properly, return the appliance to a service center or the manufacturer.

IONIC TECHNOLOGY

The new anti-static IONIC hair dryers dry your hair faster. Negative ions reduce the size of water droplets on your hair, allowing more water to be absorbed. This helps condition, soften, and make your hair shinier while adding volume. The ion switch must be in the "On" position to use the IONIC TECHNOLOGY feature

Ceramic Technology

This hair dryer contains a unique internal ceramic disc which the airflow contacts before exiting the air outlet. Ceramic's high heat penetrates hair follicles quickly from the inside-out, helping hair retain its own natural moisture while minimizing damage for soft, luxurious styles.

Helpful Styling Hints with This Device

• Always towel-dry hair to remove excess water.
• Set the dryer at the highest heat and speed settings and circulate the airflow through your hair. DO NOT concentrate airflow on any one area for an extended period of time.
• When hair is almost dry, lower heat and speed to style.
• Push the Cold Shot button to set the style with cool air once you've achieved the desired style.
• Store your Revlon dryer on its practical hanging ring. This will prevent the cord from tangling and wearing prematurely

Concentrator Attachment

By concentrating the airflow, individual sections of the hair can be styled. To attach, simply press the concentrator into the air outlet until it snaps into place. To remove, allow the dryer and attachment to cool, then gently pull the attachment away from dryer.

Volumizing Finger Diffuser

The volumizing finger diffuser will soften the airflow from the hair dryer. To use, push the diffuser onto the end of the airflow nozzle. Allow diffuser fingers to run gently over the scalp while drying. To clean the diffuser, remove it from the dryer and wash it in warm, soapy water and rinse. Allow diffuser to dry completely before reattaching to dryer.

Removable End Cap

• To remove the end cap, turn the end cap counterclockwise and pull it away from the dryer.
• Dust off the end cap.
• The end cap may be washed, but must be dried completely before returning it to the dryer.
• To replace the end cap, align the tabs of the end cap with the slots on the back of the dryer. Push the end cap onto the dryer and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that may cycle OFF or cause the heaters to turn off if the temperature exceeds comfort level due to partially blocked air inlet or outlet openings. In the event that the appliance stops or releases only cool air during use, turn off the switches and allow the appliance to cool down, at which time the thermostat will automatically reset. During use, DO NOT block the air openings. When using this appliance near water (e.g. bathrooms), the use of an electrical outlet protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter is recommended.

Maintenance
Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, unplug the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.

If any malfunction occurs. do not attempt to repair. This appliance has no user-serviceable parts.

STORAGE

When not in use, "unplug it"

Allow appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord carefully for longer life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting, or straining cord, especially at plug connections.
