Loading and usage recommendations
• Consider buying utensils which are identified as dishwasher-proof.
• To prevent damage, do not take glass and cutlery out of the dishwasher immediately
after the programme has ended.
• Load hollow items such as glasses, pans, etc., upside down to avoid water-collection.
• Dishes and items of cutlery must not lie inside one over the other or cover each other.
Glasses should not touch.
• Load large items which are most difficult to clean into the basket.
• Store knives blade-down and large knives horizontally.
• Avoid overloading for best results and energy consumption.
• Place objects in the dishwasher in following way:
• Items such as cups, glasses, pots/pans, etc., should face down.
• Curved items or those with recesses should be loaded at a slant so that water can run
off.
• All utensils are stacked securely and cannot tip over.
• All utensils are properly placed, so that the spray arms can rotate freely during washing.
Not suitable
• Cutlery with wooden or mother-of-
pearl handles
• Plastic items which are not heat-
resistant
• Old cutlery with glued parts which are
not heat-resistant
• Bonded cutlery or dishes
• Pewter or copper items
• Crystal glassware
• Steel items vulnerable to rusting
• Wooden platters
• Items made from synthetic fibres
Note:
Very small items should not be washed in the dishwasher, as they could easily fall out of
the basket.

Limited suitability
• Some types of glasses can become
dull after a large number of washes
• Silver and aluminium parts have a
tendency to discolour during washing
• Glazed patterns may fade if machine-
washed frequently
