Security Modes

A security mode is provided to capture and prevent
changing of procedure settings. The mode is activat-
ed or deactivated by setting S1 DIP switch located
inside the DH-10 Control box.
Security mode is used to capture timer, acceleration,
and control selections and settings, then to disable
these selections until deactivated. Encoder knob set-
ting changes of cold feed, weld speed and weld volt-
age are not disabled. Limits setting can be used inde-
pendently to limit the allowed WFS and volts ranges.
Security mode is activated, or deactivate, by shutting
off the input power to the DH-10 with all Timer and
Control settings as desired for both procedures for
both Feeders. Then setting S1 DIP switch 5 inside
the DH-10 Control Box ON or OFF and restoring input
power (See previous Dip Switch views in this Section).
When activated, the Timer and Control selections no
longer light, but function with the captured settings.
All other keys and encoder knob controls function nor-
mally.

LIMITS SETTING MODE

Limits setting mode is available for limiting the range
for setting wire feed speed and voltage. The limits
can be set independently for each feeder and proce-
dure. The following steps should be followed for set-
ting the maximum and minimum limits:
1. Turn off the power at the power source.
2. Remove the two screws at the top of the DH-10
control box and open the control box door.
3. Put DIP switch S1 switch 8 in the ON position. (This
switch is labeled "Limits")
4. Close the control box door.
5. Turn on the power at the power source.
OPERATION
6. The RUN-IN VOLTS/WFS light will be lit.  Set the
maximum WFS and voltage limits for procedure B for
both feeder 1 and feeder 2 using the two encoder
knobs and the feeder and procedure keys. The max-
imum WFS limit can be set for the entire range of the
wire drive that is being used. (This can be different
for each feeder.) The maximum voltage limit can be
set over the range of 10.0 to 60.0 volts. The maxi-
mum limits can be turned off independently for each
feeder and procedure by turning the encoder knobs
clockwise until the appropriate display (WFS or volt-
age) reads "OFF" while the correct feeder and proce-
dure lights are lit. (The limits are set to "OFF" from
the factory.
7. Press the CONTROL key on the keypad.  The RUN-
IN VOLTS/WFS light will be off. (Settings can be tog-
gled between minimum and maximum limits by
repeatedly pressing the CONTROL key. When the
RUN-IN VOLTS/WFS light is lit, maximum limits are
being set. When the RUN-IN VOLTS/WFS light is
off, minimum limits are being set.)
8. Set the minimum WFS and voltage limits for proce-
dure A and procedure B for both feeder 1 and feeder
2 using the two encoder knobs and the feeder and
procedure keys. The minimum WFS limit can be set
from the minimum speed of the wire drive that is
being used  (This can be different for each feeder.) to
the maximum limit that has previously been set for
the selected feeder and procedure. The minimum
voltage limit can be set over the range of 10.0 to the
maximum voltage limit that has been previously set
for the selected feeder and procedure. The minimum
limits can be turned off independently for each proce-
dure by turning the encoder knobs counter clockwise
until the appropriate display (WFS or voltage reads
"OFF" while the correct procedure light is lit.  (The
limits are set to "OFF" from the factory.)
9. Turn off the power at the power source.
10. Open the control box door.
11. Put DIP switch S1 switch 8 in the OFF position.
12. Close the control box door.
13. Reinstall the two screws that had previously been
removed in step 2.
