Blackboard edition: writing on
the appliance doors
The appliance door is made from safety
glass with a satin finish which is printed
on the back. This allows you to write on
the surface, for example, to leave a note
for other members of the family.
Tip: Before writing on the surface for
the first time, clean the entire surface
with a microfibre cloth suitable for glass
and lukewarm water. Then dry the sur-
face with a soft cloth.
Risk of damage due to writing
with the wrong products.
Never write on the glass front with a
ballpoint pen, crayon or pencil, cor-
rection pencil, wax crayon, oil chalk,
felt-tip pen (e.g. permanent marker,
highlighter, foil pen, etc.). They are
difficult or impossible to remove from
the glass front.
Only use the products recommended
to write on the glass front as these
can be removed easily.
We recommend the following products
for writing on the doors:
- Liquid chalk pens,
such as an edding 4095 chalk marker
- Traditional blackboard chalk
Risk of damage as a result of in-
correct cleaning.
The glass front can alter and discol-
our if you spot-clean it, remove soil-
ing when it is dry or use the wrong
cleaning agent.
Please refer to the relevant instruc-
tions in "Cleaning and care".
