ADJUSTING THE AIR SHUTTER
The venturi under the burner is equipped with an air shut-
ter. The opening of the venturi has been set at 3/16" for
Natural Gas and fully open for Propane installation at sea
level. The burner on Natural Gas models may be adjusted
for high altitude as follows:
To access the air shutter, remove three (3) screws secur-
ing burner to engine base and slide burner to the left or
remove from firebox.

To increase air mixture, loosen the screw to open the
shutter more. This will reduce soot formation. Figure
50
To decrease air mixture, loosen the screw to close
the shutter. Flames will be more yellow. Figure 50
