3.4

Familiarizing yourself with the equipment

Before using the equipment, open the control panels on the side of the wrecker and examine the
controls and their layout. The controls are proportional, which means that the further the control
levers are moved, the more the control speed increases. Proportional controls allow you to use
very slow speeds for greater precision and maximum control of the load.
After familiarizing yourself with the equipment, we recommend running the engine at low speed
(600–850 rpm).
