11.8.5 Materials in contact with food/product (FCM)
The materials of the thermometer in contact with food/product (FCM) comply with the
following European regulations:
• (EC) No. 1935/2004, Article 3, Paragraph 1, Articles 5 and 17 on materials and articles
intended to come into contact with food.
• (EC) No. 2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice (GMP) for materials and articles
intended to come into contact with food.
• (EC) No. 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
• All surfaces in contact with the medium are free from materials derived from bovine
animals or other livestock (ADI/TSE)
11.8.6 Material certification
The material certificate 3.1 (according to standard EN 10204) can be requested separately.
The "short form" certificate includes a simplified declaration with no enclosures of documents
related to the materials used in the construction of the single sensor and guarantees the
traceability of the materials through the identification number of the thermometer. The data
related to the origin of the materials can subsequently be requested by the client if necessary.
