Connecting Modem to Telephone Line
1.
Turn off your computer.

Open the cover of the modem jack on the left side of your computer.
To avoid damaging the modem, close the modem cover after you finish
using the built-in modem.

Connect one end of the included modem cable to the modem jack and the other
to the telephone line.

To Telephone Line
Be sure not to insert the modem cable into the LAN jack. It may damage
the LAN jack and the modem cable.
4.
Turn on your computer.
Connect the modem to the telephone line directly. Do not use a
distributor or allotter.
