Set Up and Operation Set all volume and gain controls on your mixer, mic preamp or recording device are at their minimum settings before connecting the microphone. Make sure the phantom power is turned off! Once the HM-30 is plugged in, move the channel fader gradually to the 0dB position adjust the input gain using your channel peak led or VU-meter.
