Startup: Three Phase Compressor (CP2086 Only)
All three phase motors can operate in either rotor
rotation direction depending upon how power is
supplied to the motor.
However, a THREE PHASE scroll compressor will
not work properly if operating in REVERSE of its
designed rotation direction.
If a three phase scroll compressor is making an
unusually loud noise and the ice machine does not
appear to be refrigerating the water, it's likely that
it's running backwards. To fix this two of the three
compressor motor leads need to be reversed.
1. Remove front panel of CME2086.
2. Push and hold the Off button until the pump
stops.
3. Go to the CP unit.
A. Disconnect electrical power to CP unit.
B. Remove front panel.
C. Pull off compressor terminal cover.
D. Locate terminals, switch any two wires.
E. Return compressor terminal cover to its original
position.
F. Reconnect electrical power to the CP unit.
G. Go to the CME2086 and push the freeze button,
the compressor will start and soon begin to cool
the evaporators.
H. Go back to the CP unit and confirm that it is
operating normally. Return all panels to their
original positions and secure with the original
screws.
