Hold

(Base station only)
When a call is on hold, you and your caller cannot
hear each other.

Press HOLD to place a call on hold.
SPEAKER indicator flashes.

Press again or
HOLD
SPEAKER
return to the call.
If a call is on hold for more than 5 minutes, the telephone automatically disconnects
from the line.

Redial

You can automatically redial the last number called ( after getting a busy signal, for
example. ) This CLT 9839 can redial a number of up to 16 digits.

The last number called from the base
station is automatically dialed out.
ERASING A REDIAL NUMBER

Press again.

You hear a beep, and the number is now
erased.

The last number called from the handset
is automatically dialed out.

Within 5 seconds, press ERASE
again.
The display shows the "Redial empty".
You hear a beep, and the number is now
erased.

Predial

(For handset only)
Predial feature allows you to key in a telephone number, verify it on the display and
then dial it out. You can predial a number of up to 16 digits.

Dial the number when the handset is in the standby
mode.
The number appears on the display.

Press after you verify the number.

The number is automatically dialed out.
You can also predial the number in the Redial memory and then dial it out.

Press while the handset is in the standby

mode.
The display shows the last number you dialed.

The number is automatically dialed out.
A predialed number can be stored in the directory before you dial it out.

Dial the phone number you want to store.

Enter the name you want to store using the dialing
buttons. (Maximam of 16 characters)

The display shows the "Saved directory". You hear a beep,
and the name and number is now transferred to the directory.
