SECTION 5. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION 2ND IF AND DEMODULATOR CIRCUITS 5-1 RECEIVER CIRCUITS The signal from the 1st IF circuits is applied to the IF demod- RF CIRCUITS ulator IC (IC4) which contains the 2nd IF mixer, 2nd IF AMP, The RX signal from the antenna is passed through the LPF FM detector, squelch circuit and AF AMP in its package.
RX AF CIRCUITS 5-2 TRANSMITTER CIRCUITS The detected audio signals adjusted by the linear codec’s TX AF CIRCUITS electoronic volume (inside the AF CUSTOM IC (IC1010)). The audio signal from the microphone (MIC signal) is passed The level-adjusted AF signal is then amplified by the pre- through the MIC gain SW (IC53), and then applied to the AF AMP (IC1004) and AF power AMP (IC1009).
MODULATION CIRCUIT 5-3 FREQUENCY SYNTHESIZER CIRCUITS The modulation signal from the TX AF circuits is applied to The RX VCO is composed of Q6, and D4, D5, D11. The D10 of the TX VCO (Q7, D6, D7, D10, D12) to modulate it VCO output signal is buffer-amplified by two buffers (Q12 (FM for the analog mode, 4FSK for the digital mode).
