    If the main menu does not appear, make sure the TV is tuned to the same channel as the CH3/4 switch on the rear panel of the VCR, and check for the VCR indicator on the front display. If the VCR indicator does not light, press the TV/VCR button on the remote control to turn it on.

    If AUTO CLOCK SET is unsuccessful, check local station listings for channels with Coordinated Universal Time. Tune the VCR to one of these channels, and turn the VCR off. If the time does not set within 5 minutes, set the time and date manually.

    Turn it very slowly for frame-by-frame advance, slowly for different slow motion effects or fast for normal playback. When the dial stops, the VCR returns to still mode. Press the STILL button to resume normal playback. If a tape is in STILL for five minutes with no movement, the VCR automatically goes to stop mode.

    Choosing Audio The VCR can record a program in stereo. It can also be set to record the Secondary Audio Program (SAP) of any broad- cast with second language audio. The VCR records the same audio on both the Hi-Fi and linear tracks on the tape.

Keep the remote with your VCR, where it is unlikely to be lost or damaged. • Keep liquids away from your VCR, including beverages and cleaning liquids. Spilling any liquid on the VCR can damage the electronics, resulting in an electric shock or fire.
