Convection Heater Element - Removal

1. Remove the appliance – Refer to Section 5.1.
2. Remove the top cover – Refer to Section 5.2.
3. Discharge the high voltage capacitor – Refer to Section 5.3.
4. Remove side and rear covers.
5. Refer to Figure 5-21 Rear Cavity Wall Removal.
6. Unplug the connectors from the convection-heater element (Item 1),
high temperature cutoff (Item 2) and convection fan (Item 3).
7. Refer to Figure 5-20 Removing the Wave Distributor Motor.
8. Unplug the connectors from the convection-heater element (Item 1),
high temperature cutoff (Item 2) and convection fan (Item 3).
9. Remove insulation.
10. Remove the rear inner wall – Refer to Section 5.27.
11. Remove the convection heater element retaining screws.
12. Remove the convection fan.

Broiler Heater Element - Removal

1. Remove the appliance – Refer to Section 5.1.
2. Remove the top cover – Refer to Section 5.2.
3. Discharge the high voltage capacitor (Refer to Section 5.3).
4. Remove the left side cover.
5. Push the notches on the temperature sensor bracket inward.
6. Remove the temperature sensor and bracket.
7. Refer to Figure 5-23 - Broiler Heater Element Removal.
8. Unplug the connectors from the heater element (Item 1).
9. Remove the element retaining nuts (Item 2).
10. Remove the retaining base and gasket (Item 3).
11. Remove the broiler element retaining nut (Item 4).
12. Remove the broiler element (Item 5) from the oven.
