Document: LT0712 END USER LIABILITY DISCLAIMER Some of the operation of QE20 Emergency Warning System as described in this manual is dependent on site-specific configuration performed by the field engineer. If the configuration is not well-designed, then operation may differ from this manual and compliance to local installation standards may be invalidated.

Handling & Checking Cabinets Precautions should be taken when handling the QE20 cabinets, as they can be of significant weight.
• Have an ambient noise level of not more than 70 dB(A), • Not exceed the ambient operating conditions for the QE20, • Allow all the controls and indications of the QE20 to be within 750 mm and 1850 mm of the floor, •...
Consideration should be given to future expansion of the QE20 at the time of selecting and installing the mains supply. The following table shows the recommended circuit breaker rating and...
1.5mm 2.5mm 2.5mm The mains wiring to the QE20 cabinet is terminated in the single dual-outlet GPO (1- 2 PSE) or two dual-outlet GPOs (3-4 PSE). The GPO terminal capacity is a maximum of 3 x 2.5mm conductors, so fitting the incoming mains wire and a wire across to the other GPO is possible.
LM0652 to the positive terminal. Do not connect the Anderson connector until the QE20 has been initially powered up and tested. Wiring to a remote battery is not permitted.
Adjacent Cabinet Wiring Where a QE20 system consists of multiple adjacent cabinets it will be necessary to reconnect the factory fitted wiring between the cabinets. Long connecting cables will be included in any additional cabinets, to allow connection to the previous cabinet.
QE20s when copper cabling is used. If fibre cabling is used, then additional equipment will be fitted to the QE20 to transport the audio signals over the fibre network.

• Networking with other panels • Phased evacuation, messages, etc. A printout of the site configuration is supplied with each QE20 and is the key document defining what function has been assigned to each input and output of the QE20 and thus what field wiring should be connected and where.
The Circuit Usage Report available in QE20Config can be used to list the inputs and outputs assigned and their function. This can assist in terminating the field wiring to the correct terminals, if the wiring is labelled by zone number / location. QE20 Install Manual Example ********Amplifiers*********** Zone...
What’s Available Most site settings are entered into QE20Config to form the site configuration. This is downloaded to the QE20 and stored in non-volatile memory in the Controller, so it is available each time the QE20 is turned on. The following items can be configured on-site separately to the site configuration, so may be changed without requiring a computer with QE20Config installed and access to change the configuration.
