Requirements for commissioning

The following requirements must be met before you commission the device:
• The device has at least one analyzer module.
• All required gas lines and equipment are connected to the device.
• No gas has been introduced into the device.
Information on how to connect the gas lines correctly is available:
• in the section "Gas connections (Page 41)" and
• in the device-specific operating instructions.
If you are using an Ex p safety device for the pressurized enclosure system, you will find
the required information in the corresponding documentation. Additional information is
available in the section "Ex px safety equipment (Page 107)".

Checking gas paths for leaks

The analyzers may only be used if all required gas inlet and outlet lines have been connected
prior to commissioning. Hazardous and/or flammable gases may only be introduced after all gas
paths were tested for leaks and tightness with 1.5 times the respective maximum permissible
operating pressure.
The device operator is responsible for the required gas inlet and outlet lines. In case of a
device used with pressurized enclosure Ex p, these must also correspond to "Pressurized
enclosure" protection requirements and must be tested separately in accordance with the
EN IEC 60079-2 standard.
