Connect the black cable (fig. 3 bk, page 4) to the negative terminal of
the battery (fig. 3 2, page 4).

Note
When the freezer is supplied by the starter battery, select the bat-
tery monitor mode HIGH. If the freezer is connected to a consumer
battery, the battery monitor mode LOW will suffice.
If you wish to operate the freezer from the AC mains, set the battery
monitor to LOW.
7.4 Using the freezer

Caution – danger of overheating!
Always ensure sufficient ventilation so that the heat generated dur-
ing operation can dissipate. Ensure that the ventilation slots are not
covered. Make sure that the device is sufficiently far away from
walls and other objects so that the air can circulate.
Place the freezer on a firm foundation.
Make sure that the ventilation slots are not covered and that the heated
air can dissipate.
Connect the freezer (see „Connecting the freezer" on page 24).

If you wish to operate the freezer from the AC mains, set the battery
monitor to LOW.

Caution – danger from excessively low temperature!
Ensure that only those objects are placed in the freezer that are in-
tended to be cooled at the selected temperature.
Turn the thermostat (fig. 1 1, page 3) anti-clockwise.
The freezer starts cooling the interior.
Use the thermostat (fig. 1 1, page 3) to set the cooling temperature
(1 = low, 7 = high).
