1. Use the tuning key supplied with the FD-8 to

tighten the tuning bolts.
Tighten the bolts to keep the space even all around
between the frame and the hoop.
* The setup includes a lock bushing (to prevent loosening), so the
bolt should be tightened fairly securely.

Tighten each tuning bolt one by one, observing the
numerical order shown in the diagram.

2. Tension the head evenly while checking the feel
of striking the pad.
Normally, it would be appropriate if the tension is the
same as an acoustic drum.

Attaching the Pad to a Stand

Loosen
Rod
Pass the rod through the pipe
that is inside the holder.
When attaching the PD-85 to the rod, be sure to tighten
the stand fixing screw securely. If it remains loose, the
pad could fall off.
