    1. INTRODUCTION 1.1 SCOPE This pump is designed for pumping rainwater out of a water butt for garden/plant watering. This product is suitable for a domestique use. Any application other than that it was intended for, is considered misuse. Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator. 2.

    - The area being pumped should be kept clear and nobody should enter the area while the pump is operating. - Do not pump explosive or flammable liquids. - Clean water pumps are not suitable for use in dirty water. - These water pumps are designed for pumping water only.

    5. ASSEMBLY Note: Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out the assembly. 5.1 EXTENSIONTUBES Assemble the two parts of the straight extension tube. Screw the straight extension tube (5) to the extension tube connection (3). 6. OPERATION 6.1 PUMPING DISTANCE The horizontal pumping distance is directly affected by the working head height (maximum total head minus measured working head height, times factor of 10, equals the approximate horizontal pumping distance in meters using solid delivery hose).
  • Page 7  Connect the hose to the male part of the hose connector (5).  Connect your garden hose to the pump outlet. If necessary, use a quick connector. 6.3 CONNECTINGTO POWER VIA RCD Plug your pump into a Residual Current Device (RCD) and connect to your mains supply. The pictures 8 and 9 below show some examples of devices.

    6.4 INSTALLATION The pump must be fully submersed before the power is switched on. Do not run the pump dry. Use the hook/extension pipes to lower pump into the butt. If pumping water from sandy or muddy water butt suspend the pump off the base; alternatively stand the pump on a brick to raise it up from the dirt.

    11. WARRANTY WARRANTY The manufacturer guarantees the product against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of the original purchase. The warranty only applies if the product is for household use. The warranty does not cover breakdowns due to normal wear and tear. The manufacturer agrees to replace parts identified as defective by the designated distributor.
