4 Release the PTT button to end the transmission
and wait for a response from the dispatcher.
5 To exit Emergency Call, press and hold the
preprogrammed Emergency button for about a
second.

Sending an Emergency Alarm with Emergency Call

This feature gives your radio priority access on a
channel for conventional system, and to a talkgroup
for trunking system.
1 Press the preprogrammed Emergency button.
If successful, the display shows EMERGNCY on the
current zone and channel. You hear a short,
medium-pitched tone and the LED blinks red
momentarily.
The radio exits Emergency Alarm and enters the
Emergency Call state when one of the following
scenarios occur:
You receive the dispatcher's acknowledgment.
The display shows ACK RCVD.
You receive no acknowledgement. The display
shows NO ACK.

You press the PTT button while in the
Emergency Alarm mode.
If unsuccessful, you hear the radio sounds a short
low-pitched tone to indicate the selected channel
does not support emergency and rejects to launch
emergency mode.
2 Hold the radio vertically 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5.0
cm) from your mouth.
3 Press and hold the PTT button. Speak clearly into
the microphone.
4 Release the PTT button to end the transmission
and wait for a response from the dispatcher.
5 To exit Emergency Call, press and hold the
preprogrammed Emergency button for about a
second.
Turning the radio off also cancels the emergency
state.

Sending a Silent Emergency Alarm

This feature allows you to send an Emergency Alarm
to the system without triggering any audio or visual
indicators.
