Getting Started
Open the battery compartment cover, remove the contact breaker and then close the battery compartment cover again.
Operation
Automatic time setting using the DCF signal
- Once you have removed the contact breaker, an acoustic signal sounds and the alarm clock automatically starts searching for a DCF signal.
- After approx. 5-10 minutes (depending on how quickly the radio signal was received), the hands will set themselves to the correct time.
Setting the time manually
- If the correct time has not been set after approx. 10 minutes, this means the clock could not find a DCF signal.
- Press and hold the M.SET button to manually set the correct time. Release the M.SET button once you have reached the required time.
- The clock automatically continues to search for the DCF signal on a daily basis. If the signal is received successfully, the manually set time is overwritten.
- You may need to change the installation location and avoid areas with possible sources of interference (cordless and mobile telephones, wireless speakers, etc.).
Starting manual reception
- Once the clock is running, press the REC button for 3 seconds. This will set the hands to the 12:00 position. Now the clock starts searching for the DCF signal.
- If no signal has been received, the clock will show the time previously saved.
Alarm
Setting the alarm
- Move the setting wheel on the back of the alarm clock to set the required alarm time.
- To activate/deactivate the alarm, move the slide switch to the ON or OFF position.
- The status indicator next to the third digit is red when the alarm is activated and green when it is deactivated.
Stopping the alarm/snooze function
- If the alarm is activated, it is triggered at the set time and an alarm signal sounds for two minutes with increasing volume. The alarm automatically stops after this time and is then triggered again at the set alarm time.
- To stop the alarm early, move the slide switch to the OFF position.
- Move the slide switch back to the ON position to activate the alarm for the set alarm time.
Note – Snooze function
- While the alarm signal is sounding, press the SNOOZE/ LIGHT button to activate the snooze function. The alarm signal will be stopped for 5 minutes, after which it will sound again.
- The snooze function can be activated six consecutive times.
Backlight
- If you press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button, the clock face will light up for approx. 5 seconds.
RESET function
- If, for whatever reason, the clock has not been set correctly, you can reset it.
- Use a metal object (such as a needle) to short-circuit the clock by means of the ‚RESET' button on the rear side. All hands will move to the 12:00 position.
- After approx. 5-10 minutes (depending on how quickly the signal was received), the hands will automatically set themselves to the correct time.
