If experiencing trouble with the fire feature, contact a qualified service professional to check the following:
Problem
Fire feature fails to ignite
Pilot flame ignites, but main
burner does not
Fire feature turns on but shuts
off after a few seconds
Orifices are clean but fire feature
still does not receive gas
Fire feature operates
sporadically or turns off
unexpectedly
Possible Cause/Solution
Circuit breaker may be tripped or turned off.
Ensure the transformer is delivering 12 VAC power.
Inspect electrical wiring for cuts or other damage.
Ensure the gas supply shut-off valve is open.
Ensure igniter glows red when switched on.
• If the igniter does NOT glow red;
Igniter may require replacement. Contact a qualified service professional.
• If igniter does glow red but does not light the pilot burner;
Orifice(s) may be clogged or obstructed and require cleaning or
replacement. Contact a qualified service professional.
Control box requires servicing. Contact a qualified service professional.
Ground connection may be faulty. Ensure there is a proper ground connection to
pilot burner.
Verify proper gas pressure.
Gas supply may be obstructed by water or other debris. The supply line should
be vacuumed out to clear the obstruction.
Fire feature may be overheating.
Ensure that the support plate and burner are not overfilled with fire media.
Ensure lower vents are clear of fire media/debris.
Fire feature may be shutting down due to high wind pressure.
