desired settings for a job. Once all the settings
are selected, users proceed to name and save
them as an icon that is stored on the main tab
of the driver. Users can then run the print job
with all of the settings saved by simply clicking
on the icon and selecting OK, thereby increas-
ing productivity. The Manage Icons key allows
users to change the icon order, delete icons and
edit comments. Further, the Custom Setting
summary under the Manage Icons key lists all
the details of each saved icon. Under the Print
Quality tab, users can choose four different set-
tings depending on the type of document they
are printing, including General (word process-
ing or spreadsheet files), Photograph (photo-
graphs or images with gradations), Toner sav-
ing (suitable for test printing, as printing will
be done using a less amount of toner than usual)
and Fast (printing speed is given priority over
the quality, so images may appear rougher or
the gradations do not appear smoothly). Mixed
Original Orientations and Job Load Distribution
are located under the Printer Configuration key
from the main tab.
