3.0 Safety Considerations

3.1 Assembly
This device is supplied fully assembled and requires no assembly.

3.2 Safety Warnings

WARNING
SWL The safe working load (SWL) is the maximum user weight. Exceeding the listed weight capacity could
put the user at risk. The maximum safe working load is clearly identified on each walking frame unit. This
must not be exceeded, if you are over the specified weight capacity please contact the product specifier or
your Occupational Therapist and do NOT use the walking frame.

WARNING Height Adjustment The walking frame features height adjustment which must be set to
suit the user prior to first use. Refer to 4.2 for details.
CAUTION Avoid using knives or other sharp instruments to remove packaging, as this may cause
damage to the product.
Your walking frame is supplied fully assembled and requires no additional assembly.
WARNING Should the box contain loose parts please contact your equipment provider. Do NOT use
the walking frame and do NOT attempt to re-attach any detached items.
WARNING Check the walking frame for signs of visual damage. If damage is seen or a fault is
suspected, the walking frame must NOT be used and you should contact your supplier for support.
WARNING Check that all of the legs are adjusted to the same height
WARNING Check that wheels and ferrules are in good condition
WARNING When using accessories such as bags, baskets etc, ensure that these are fitted safely and
are not overloaded.
