This user manual has been created to ensure that you are in possession of the knowledge to safely use and maintain your walking frame. Correct and appropriate use of this device will reduce the risks associated with manual patient handling. All lifting /transferring tasks should be assessed and planned by a competent person. The device carries UKCA and CE marks to demonstrate compliance with the relevant Regulations.
3.0 Safety Considerations Please ensure that you read and fully understand all of the below safety considerations prior to use of the . 3.1 Assembly This device is supplied fully assembled and requires no assembly. 3.2 Safety Warnings WARNING SWL The safe working load (SWL) is the maximum user weight. Exceeding the listed weight capacity could put the user at risk. The maximum safe working load is clearly identified on each walking frame unit. CAUTION Ensure that the frame is stowed with care when transporting in a car boot. Damage can occur due to impact with car boot door. WARNING The walking frame must only be used on firm, level ground. Avoid wet floors and be aware of outdoor hazards such as wet leaves and ice. Walking frames must NEVER be used to negotiate steps or stairs. WARNING Wear flat, supportive shoes. 4.3 Using the Walking Frame Prior to use please ensure that you have read and understood all of the safety considerations in Section 3 of this manual. Getting into and out of chairs WARNING Never use the walking frame to pull you up into a standing position. The walking frame is NOT a transfer aid. Position the frame in front of the chair. Get up by pushing on the arms of the chair and transfer hands to frame when fully standing. To sit, using the frame walk back until you feel the chair at the back of your legs. 12. Warranty Your Aidapt walking frame carries a 12 month warranty from the date of purchase, subject to the following: 1. Should you experience any problems with your product within the first 12 months period please contact your point of purchase. 2. The product will be replaced during the warranty period free of charge, provided the product has been used strictly in accordance with the guidelines set out in this user guide. 3. Our warranty does not cover replacements, adjustments or repairs which may be required as a result of normal wear and tear, wilful or accidental damage, misuse, neglect or any other cause which is beyond the control of Aidapt Bathrooms Limited. 4. Modifications and repairs made to this product by unauthorised persons will render the warranty void. 5. Only parts manufactured or approved by Aidapt Bathrooms Limited shall be used to repair this product. Use of unauthorised parts will invalidate all warranties and remove all liability from Aidapt Bathrooms Limited for the safety of this product. 6. Aidapt Bathrooms Limited shall in no event be liable for any damages, costs or expenses arising from any claim made under this warranty (save for any legal liability of Aidapt Bathrooms Limited for death or personal injury resulting from the company’s negligence in respect of its products). 7.
