1. Introduction
Thank you for deciding to purchase the Lightweight Aluminium Walking Frame from Aidapt.
The Lightweight Aluminium Walking Frame range is manufactured from the finest materials
and components available, when used correctly it is designed to give many years of reliable
trouble-free service. The Lightweight Aluminium Walking Frame is available in various sizes,
with or without wheels.
Please Note: Always consult with the prescriber/Physiotherapist if you are in any doubt
that this product is suitable for your use.
When the frame is adjusted correctly the user should be able to maintain an upright posture
with the elbow slightly flexed. In this way, body weight is taken through the frame by
pushing down on the frame when walking.

2. Before Installation
Please examine the item for any visible damage before use. If you see any damage or
suspect a fault, please do not use the product, but contact your supplier immediately for
support. Please dispose of all packaging carefully.
3. Height Adjustment
Remove the 'E' clip from the extension leg and extend all legs evenly to the desired height
ensuring you do not exceed the last punched hole of the extension leg. (see fig. 1)
Once you have achieved the desired height; reinstall the 'E' clip, ensuring that it has
passed through the extension leg and that it fits neatly and snugly around the outside
leg. (see fig. 2)
4. Getting into and out of Chairs

Position the frame in front of the chair.

Get up by pushing on the arms of the chair and transfer hand to frame when fully
standing.
3.
To sit down, using the frame, turn round in front of the chair and feel using
wheeled frames, the rear legs the chair behind you with your legs.

Place hands gently on the chair arms, bend slightly forward and sit down gently.

5. Warning
For safety, these precautions must be taken when using these products:
Walker sits level and all legs are adjusted to the same height.
•
Ferrules are in good condition - replace if necessary.
•
Use only Aidapt parts or accessories.
•
When using accessories such as bags, baskets, etc., ensure these are fitted safely
•
and are not overloaded.
Stow the frame with care when transporting in a car boot. Damage can occur due
•
to impact with car boot door.
