Override with ESME

External override is possible with remote
control unit ESME connected to
terminals 4 and 5. The override signal
applies only to relay output R1 and can
only be received by the control when the
function selector is in position

Provisional override to normal

temperature
Provisional override to normal
temperature for 2 hours is possible when
an external override unit is used (ESME

External setpoint

Normal temperature can be set
externally with the potentiometer in the
remote control unit (ESME). ESME must
be connected to terminals 4 and 5. It
overrides the normal temperature setting
on the control in P8.0. The setting range
becomes ±20 K about the middle
temperature setting in P5.3 (approx. 2 Ω/
degree).

General frost protection

EPU 2370 has a frost protection function
which ensures that the measured
temperature at the sensors does not fall
below 6°C. If the temperature at one of
the sensors, S1, S2 or S4, is lower than
6°C, relay contacts R1 and R2 become
activated. When all sensor temperatures
are higher than 6°C the relay contacts
return to their initial position, after a
delay of 3 minutes.
In applications 3 and 5 the delay
depends on the setting in P.4.3.
Note: Actual frost protection depends on
the application selected.

possible when an external time switch is
connected to terminals 3 and 4.
It is also possible to protect the system
against frost at any point by connecting
a separate S3 sensor. Frost protection
limits must be set in P3.1 (see digital
settings).
