Thank you for choosing the optris PI thermal imager! The optris PI calculates the surface temperature based on the emitted infrared energy of objects [► Basics of Infrared Thermometry]. The two-dimensional detector (FPA - focal plain array) allows a measurement of 160 x 120 pixels and will be shown as thermographic image using standardized palettes.
