14.3 CLEARRAY® Water Purification System
Your new hot tub has our water purification system
factory installed that will begin disinfecting your water
instantly. CLEARRAY Water Purification System is
exclusive technology utilizing natural ultraviolet technology
to sanitize your water, disinfecting bacteria, viruses, and
algae in portable hot tubs. The ultraviolet light otherwise known as UV-C
or germicidal light inactivates the microorganisms by disrupting the DNA
so that it cannot reproduce and is considered lifeless. The ballast is the
power supply for the purification system; it has two LED indicator lights.
The "Power On" (red color) indicating incoming power and the "Lamp On"
(green color) indicating the system is properly working. CLEARRAY is
standard for all models.
After a year the bulb must be replaced. A message will appear on the
LCD display when the time allotted has expired. In order to clear the
message, a new UV bulb needs to be installed and the timer must be
reset (Sec. 12.6, page 61).
WARNINGS:

• Do not operate the UV-C emitter when it is removed from the appli-
ance enclosure.
• This appliance contains a UV-C emitter.
• Unintended use of the appliance or damage to the housing may
result in the escape of dangerous UV-C radiation. UV-C radiation
may, even in little doses, cause harm to the eyes and skin.
• Appliances that are obviously damaged must not be operated.
• Read the maintenance instructions before opening the appliance.
