    CHARGING MODES AND DESCRIPTION Charging mode 3B In charging mode 3B, a mobile AC charging cable is required (Connection Cable), which has a connector at both ends. One end, the ve- hicle charging plug, is inserted into the inlet of the vehicle. The other end of the charging cable, the infrastructure charging connector, is inserted into the charging socket of the charging station.

    TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE DELIVERY INFORMATION! Always observe the pictograms on the transport packaging displaying cargo handling information! The type of packaging may vary depending on the component, weight, and selected shipping method Only store the components in dry, enclosed rooms while ob- serving the pictograms on the packaging.

    TRANSPORTATION General information: • Always observe applicable local safety and accident prevention regula- tions. • Specify transportation routes in advance and remove possible obstruc- tions. • Keep unauthorized persons away from the transportation route and as- sembly or installation location. Secure affected areas against access by un- authorized persons.

    CONNECTOR OPERATION The 2-end Connection Cable is used to connect the electric vehicle and the charg- ing station. 1. The Vehicle Connector must be plugged into the charging inlet (vehicle) and the Equipment Plug into the charging outlet (station). 2. Ensure that connector and plug are completely engaged. The charging cable must not be stretched.
  • Page 24 DANGER! Danger of death due to electric shock! Injuries due to an electric shock and/or burns are possible and may cause immediate death. • Always check the Connection Cable and contacts for damage and contamination before use. • Never use a damaged Vehicle Connector, Equipment Plug, cable, vehicle inlet or charging station for charg- ing.

Misuse of the Connection Cable can lead to interruption of charging, disruption of service or even injuries: • Never use high force to plug and unplug the Vehicle Connector or Equipment Plug. • Don’t stress the charging connector with mechanical load like, pushing or pulling, lean against cable / con- nector during charging process.

    DANGER! Danger of death due to electric shock! Modifications (of any kind) to components of the Connec- tion Cable are strictly forbidden! In this case, injuries due to an electric shock and/or burns are possible and may cause immediate death. Repair of the product is not possible.

    CLEANING THE COMPONENTS INFORMATION! Only clean the charging cable when it is not connected to the vehicle or the charging station. Use a dry cloth to clean outside of cable, Vehicle Connector, Equipment Plug and pin contacts. Never use abrasive cleaning agents, water jet or steam jet cleaners.
