INSTRUCTIONS D'INSTALLATION

1.
Raccordement de la pipe de décharge à la pompe
Enroulez les filetages de la pipe de décharge de 2 ft avec le ruban
d 'étanchéité.
Fixez la pipe de décharge (1) à la décharge de la pompe (2).
Pour éviter les verrouillages d'air dans les pompes d'égout d'aspiration
par le fond, vous devez percer un trou de pleurement de 1/4" dans le
tuyau de décharge, comme le montre la figure 1 (#2). assurez-vous que
le trou est en dessous du clapet anti-retour et du couvercle. percez le
trou vers le haut pour permettre à l'eau de pulvériser vers le bas. ce trou
de pleurage permettra à l'air de s'échapper du boîtier de la pompe pour
éviter les verrous d'air. le trou de pleur doit être vérifié et nettoyé
périodiquement.
2. lacez la pompe sur une surface dure à l'intérieur d'un bassin d'eaux
usées.
Placer la pompe dans un bassin d'égout. Placez la pompe sur une
surface dure à l'intérieur d'un bassin d'égout. Prenez soin de vous
assurer que l'interrupteur de la pompe peut se déplacer librement sans
restriction et qu'il n'est pas placé directement sous l'entrée des
réservoirs. Les débris tombant directement sur l'interrupteur peuvent
empêcher la pompe de s'allumer. Pour de meilleurs résultats,
l'interrupteur doit se trouver à 180 degrés de l'entrée (comme le montre
la figure 2) et ne touchera pas le côté de la fosse.
3. Raccordement du clapet anti-retour
Connectez la pipe de décharge (1) au coude (2), à l'union (3), au clapet
anti-retour (4), et à la vanne (5).

ADDITIONAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
14. This unit is designed only for use on 115 volts (single phase), 60 Hz, and is equipped with an approved
3-conductor cord and 3-prong grounded plug. DO NOT REMOVE THE GROUND PIN UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES. The 3-prong plug must be directly inserted into a properly installed and grounded
3-prong, grounding-type receptacle. Do not use this pump with a 2-prong wall outlet. Replace the
2-prong outlet with a properly grounded 3-prong receptacle (a GFCI outlet) installed in accordance with
the National Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances. All wiring should be performed by a
qualified electrician.
15. Protect the electrical cord from sharp objects, hot surfaces, oil, and chemicals. Avoid kinking the cord.
Do not use damaged or worn cords.
PREPARATION
WARNING: Always use handle to lift pump. Never use power cord to lift pump. To avoid skin
burns, unplug and allow time for the pump to cool after periods of extended use.
Estimated Assembly Time (New installation): 30 minutes (or longer if installing new sump pit).
Materials Required for Assembly (not included):
Threadsealanttape, 2 in. Check valve, 2 in. Elbow, 2 in. Union, 2 in. Nipplepipe, 2 in. Gate valve
Tools Required for Assembly (not included):
Wrench, Phillips screwdriver
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Connecting a discharge pipe to the pump
Wrap the threads of the 2 in. discharge pipe (1) with threadsealant tape.
Attach the discharge pipe (1) to the discharge of the pump(2).
IMPORTANT: To prevent air locks in bottom suction sewage pumps, you
must drill a 1/4" weep hole in the discharge pipe, as shown in figure 1 (#2).
be sure the hole is below the check valve and cover. drill the hole in an
upward fashion to allow water to spray down. this weep hole will allow air
to escape out of the pump housing to prevent air locks. the weep hole
should be checked and cleaned periodically.
2. Place the pump on a hard surface inside a sewage basin.
Placing the pump in a sewage basin. Place the pump on a hard surface
inside a sewage basin. Take care to assure the pump switch can move
freely with no restrictions and is not placed directly under the tanks inlet.
Debris falling directly on the switch can cause the pump to not turn on.
For best results, the switch should be 180 degrees from the inlet (as
shown in figure 2) and won't touch the side of the pit.
