4 UNIX Settings
Introduction
This chapter describes how to configure the DAT24 tape drive to operate on various UNIX systems.
It provides drive configuration options and any changes required at the operating system level.
When configured as documented in this guide, the drive performs as an integrated component of
the system, giving maximum functionality.

Setting DIP Switches for UNIX Support
Switches 9 and 10 on the bottom of the DAT24 tape drive are used for UNIX support, as shown in
Table 4 on page 26.
