6.1 Connecting the Blade

1. The Box Blade should be on level ground.
2. Place the tractor rockshaft control in "Position
Control"
(non-floating)
detaching the box blade. "Draft Control" or
"Position Control" can be used while operating.
3. Board the tractor and start the engine. Position
the tractor to the blade with the 3-point lift arms
positioned between the respective set of blade
A-frame lift lugs. Note: Set the 3-point lift
control to "Position Control" so that the lift arms
maintain a constant height when attaching the
blade. See the tractor Operator's Manual for
correct
settings
when
equipment.
4. Back the tractor until the ends of the lift arms can be attached to the lift pins on the implement. Secure the
lift arms to the mast.
5. Turn off the tractor engine, set the parking brake, place the tractor in park, and dismount.
6. Attach the center link to the top of the mast and adjust so that the box blade frame will be level in the
operating position.
7. Adjust any lower link check chains, guide blocks, or sway blocks to prevent the blade or rake from swaying
side to side and possible contact with tractor rear tires.
