Warning!
Immediately turn the machine off if there are operational problems. Unplug it from the electric outlet.
Wait for the machine to cool down. As an alternative, use gloves or rags to unscrew the boiler from
the carafe.
Problems
The coffee does not
come out
Coffee comes out
from the edges of the
boiler.
The coffee is not
supplied or flows too
slowly.
The coffee is too
watery and cold.
Causes
There is no water in the
boiler.
Probably too much ground
coffee was put in the funnel
filter, and it prevented the
boiler from being completely
tightened to the carafe.
Residue of ground coffee is
on the seal.
The exit holes of the disc
filter (D) are clogged.
The seal is burnt or torn
The carafe has not been
tightened to the boiler.
The exit holes of the disc
filter (D) are clogged.
The coffee blend is ground
too fine.
The coffee blend is pressed
down too much.
Lime has formed on the
bottom of the boiler.
The blend has been ground
too coarsely.
Too much water has been put
inside.
Solutions
Repeat the operation by putting the right amount of
water into the boiler.
Repeat the operation by putting the right amount of
coffee into the funnel filter.
Clean the seal with a toothpick or a sponge.
Turn off the machine. Unplug it from the socket-
outlet. Use gloves or rags. Wait for the machine
to cool down. Unscrew the boiler from the carafe.
Remove the filter from the carafe. Clean the
clogged disc filter (Fig. 5) holes using using a small
brush or pin.
Replace the seal.
Screw the carafe onto the boiler tightly. Do not prize
the handle.
Turn off the machine. Unplug it from the socket-
outlet. Use gloves or rags. Wait for the machine
to cool down. Unscrew the boiler from the carafe.
Remove the filter from the carafe. Clean the
clogged disc filter (Fig. 5) holes using using a small
brush or pin.
Try using coarser coffee blends.
Put a smaller amount of coffee into the funnel filter.
Descale as instructed in the paragraph "Cleaning
the appliance".
A more finely ground blend must be used to obtain
a more concentrated and hotter coffee.
Repeat the operation by putting the right amount
of water into the boiler. Up to the safety valve if the
four cups of coffee funnel filter is used. Beneath the
safety valve if the two cups of coffee adaptor disc is
used (Fig. 2).
