DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging according to the type of material.
• Dispose of card and cardboard in your waste paper container and films in your plastic
recyclables container.
Dispose of lubricants, cleaning agents and care products in line with environmental regu-
lations. These items must not be disposed of with domestic waste, sewer systems or into
the environment.
• Read the information on the packaging.
• Dispose of lubricants, cleaners and maintenance products at a collection point for
hazardous waste.
Tyres and inner tubes do not qualify as residual or domestic waste.
• Dispose of inner tubes and tyres at a recycling centre or collection point run by the local
city council or municipality.
Pedelec Disposing of the pedelec
The EU Directives on waste electrical equipment (Directive 2012/19/
EU) and waste batteries (Directive 2006/66/EC) apply to the disposal
of a pedelec, whereby the relevant components must be collected
separately and disposed of according to environmental regulations.
As a consumer, you are legally obliged to return electrical and
electronic equipment as well as all types of battery to special public
collection points or specialist dealers at the end of their service life.
1. Remove the battery that supplies energy to the e-drive and, if necessary, remove any
other batteries fitted to the pedelec as well as all components and operating elements
that contain batteries, from the pedelec.
2. Dispose of your pedelec (without batteries) as waste electrical equipment.
- Ask the local authorities or municipality about free collection points for waste elec-
trical equipment and/or collection points for recycling waste electrical equipment.
- If applicable, delete any personal data stored on auxiliary equipment before you hand
over your pedelec to the collection point. This task is your responsibility.
3. Dispose of the removed battery and any other batteries removed from the pedelec as
hazardous waste at a recycling centre or a collection point in your city or municipality.
