Reverse Osmosis System Installation 13. Use Lock-Out and Tag-Out devices when servicing the unit. 14. This manual should be used as a guidance tool and should not replace common sense. If you are unsure about a procedure, ask your supervisor. Excalibur Water Canada welcomes any questions you may have and can arrange to provide on-site training if necessary.
Reverse Osmosis System Installation Required Material Concrete anchor bolts (size determined by local seismic calculations). Plumbing and electrical materials as required EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION GUIDELINES 1. All lifting and moving procedures must be performed by experienced construction workers using standard rigging methods. 2.
Reverse Osmosis System Installation 8. Install the reject line directly to an open drain. NOTE: As a rule, no valves should be installed in this line. If necessary, install a relief valve set at no greater than 5 PSIG. The valve should be directed to a visible drain, so relief is clear. If the reject drain is below the level of the RO unit, install a vacuum breaker valve or open pipe leg on the reject line.
Reverse Osmosis System Installation START UP INSTRUCTIONS PROCEDURE The plumbing must be inspected properly before releasing the water pressure into the system. Direct the product water flow to drain for first hour of operation. Slowly open the supply valve halfway located upstream of the RO. Connect electrical power to the system.

Reverse Osmosis System Installation CONTROLLER SETTINGS Reverse Osmosis controls the outputs of pressure pump, inlet solenoid valve and flush valve. Controller senses the input signal from inlet pressure switch, tank full switch, pre-treat lockout switch and TDS conductivity cell. The controller functions, switches and TDS calibration can be controlled by switching jumpers on control board.
Reverse Osmosis System Installation CONTROLLER CONFIGURATIONS INPUT VOLTAGE 120VAC: - Connect jumper J1 with J3 and J2 with J4 for 120VAC configuration. 240VAC: - Connected single wire between jumper J3 and J4 for 240VAC configuration. SWITCH INPUTS (Jumper J10) POSITION A Position A: - All switches should be open to run normal (Normally Open) operation.
Reverse Osmosis System Installation TANK FULL (Jumper J9) When the tank full switch is active for 5 seconds, the Tank Full condition is logged, the controller shuts off and displays FUL on LED. In Position A of Jumper J9, the controller restart after delay of 2 seconds when tank full condition clears off.
Reverse Osmosis System Installation TDS CONDUCTIVITY CELL CALIBRATION Measure the TDS of water with a calibrated meter. Use a small Phillip’s head screwdriver and turn the screw located in the hole labelled “CAL”. Turn the screw to match the display reading with another meter reading.
Reverse Osmosis System Installation RO PUMP OUTPUT RO Pump output provides voltage same as controller input. This output can operate up to 1HP pump. Use contactor for higher HP pumps. INLET VALVE OUTPUT Inlet valve output has the same voltage as power input to the controller (120 or 240 VAC).
