The option buttons on the MSI Optix MAG342CQR monitor may not be working due to several possible reasons:

1. Button Lock Feature: The buttons might be locked. Check if there is a button lock feature enabled in the settings and disable it if necessary.

2. Power or Connection Issue: Ensure the monitor is properly powered on and connected to the PC.

3. Firmware or Software Issue: Restart the monitor and check if the issue persists. Updating firmware might help.

4. Physical Damage or Dirt: Inspect the buttons for any physical damage, debris, or dirt that may be obstructing their function.

5. OSD Settings Reset: If possible, reset the monitor settings to default via the control button.

If the issue continues, consider contacting MSI technical support.
