2. SAFETy

2.1 General information
The following operational safety information's are to be taken care of:
The stone cutting machine has been designed and manufactured to the state-of-the-art technology.
But from this machine there may still be risks to be expected if untrained personnel use it or if its not
being used accordingly.
Each person who intends to make use of the machine in the way of assembly, start-up or installation
(inspection, maintenance) needs to have read and understood the IM and especially the part regarding
„Safety". It is recommended to the user to have this confirmed in writing.
The stone cutting machine is, by the use of Diamond-Cutting discs which are aligned to the material to
be cut, exclusively for cutting mineral material as well as burned material such as synthetic stone, volca-
nic stone, burned stone, reinforced concrete, cement stone, tuff or glazed tiles. Each use overstepping
these instructions is seen as not used accordingly. The manufacturer does not take liability for damages
resulting from this. The user is solely responsible for the risks taken in this case.
The compliance of the regulations given by the manufacturer includes the defined use of the assembly,
start-up, use and maintenance instructions.
The stone cutting machine is only to be used and maintained by authorised, trained and instructed per-
sonnel who have reached the age of 18 (from the age of 16, only under supervision of personnel who
are of full age). This personnel needs to undergo an instruction course regarding the possible dangers.
The responsibilities for assembly, start-up, use and maintenance need to be determined clearly and
precisely so that, under the aspect of safety, no vague responsibilities arise.
By all work, which includes the assembly, start-up, use, adjustment, and maintenance, all procedures
regarding the switch-off of the machine are to be followed.
All operating modes, which alloy the safety of the stone cutting machine, are to be refrained from.
The user has also to make sure that no none-authorised person is making use of the machine in any
way.
The user is obliged to operate the stone cutting machine in good order and condition at all times.
Re-buildings and changes, which impair the safety of the stone cutting machine, are not permitted.
All repair and maintenance work on the stone cutting machine are only to be carried out when the ma-
chine is not in operation and not connected to the main power supply.
Prior to starting to work on the stone cutting machine the starter and any additional devices are to be
secured prior to unintended start-up.
Prior to the start-up, the transposition or before any maintenance work it is to be checked if all safety
devices are mounted.
All safety precautions are to be checked after the corresponding electronic assembly or maintenance
work.
The corresponding safety and accident prevention regulations for the use of the stone cutting machine
are to be followed.
It is not permitted to use the stone cutting machine without the safety devices provided.
The functional efficiency of the safety devices is to be checked regularly.
2.2 Special information
The covers of the rotating machine parts are not to be removed during operation.
The working areas of the stone cutting machine are to be well lit.
Prior to leaving the working area the machine needs to be switched off with the help of the main power
switch.
