Here are some launching strategies you can use to leave shore:
On shore wind
Cannot sail into the "no go zone".
Can sail "close hauled" or "reach-
ing"

Problem
Sailboat not moving.
Cannot sail in a straight
line.
Water in the hull

Offshore wind
Can "reach", "broad reach", or
"run" (dead downwind)".
Possible cause
Stuck in the "no go zone".
Not in the "no go zone" but "sail trim" is
not correct.
Not enough wind.
Rudder is not in neutral position.
Servo and/or battery compartment
tape (cloth deck patches) not applied
correctly.
Bung not inserted.
Side wind
Cannot sail into the "no go zone".
Can sail "close hauled", "reach-
ing", or "running"
Suggestion
Steer past the no go zone.
Pull the sails in until they stop flapping.
Wait for the breeze to return then you can
sail back to shore.

Check the seals and bung.
