Regulator Operation
The operation of the regulator is very simple.
The unit takes the three-phase AC power from the wind turbine and transforms it
into direct current, suitable for charging batteries. At the same time, it is constantly
controlling the rotational speed of the turbine, thus keeping it from going out of
control.
To control the rotations of the turbine, the regulator has a braking resistor inside
from which it derives power if it should be necessary.
The regulator has a single input of the three-phase AC type and an outlet in direct
current.
The regulator includes an automatic control system that keeps the wind turbine
always under control. The turbine will be kept working with MPPT whenever it is
possible.
The regulator will stop the wind turbine completely if any of the following situations
is produced:
-
Physical activation of the regulator´s emergency stop (Red button)
-
Activation of the brake from the screen of the regulator.
-
Activation of the brake from the Modbus command. Battery charged.
-
Maximum rotations exceeded.
-
High wind.
-
Detection of any possible error:
