WALL PLATE 3 AND 5 LITRE 701 SERIES
3 & 5 litre 701 Series have a wall plate supplied to allow fixing of the new Boiling
Water Unit utilising the existing fixings. The wall plate has been pre-drilled so that the
holes in the wall plate are located where the original mounting points were for
Rheem Lazer, Zip (Australia) or Zenith (NZ) Boiling Water Units. Once the wall plate
has been secured to the wall, the new Boiling Water Unit is easily mounted on to the
wall plate, by means of two integrated hooks of the wall plate that locate into two
elongated slots in the Boiling Water Unit back panel, marked as dimension H on
page 27. To prevent the Boiling Water Unit lifting off the wall plate, prior to fitting the
Boiling Water Unit to the wall plate, using a 6mm flat blade screwdriver, bend the
locking tab on the Boiling Water Unit back panel outward approximately 8mm. See
page 28 for wall plate dimensions.
WARNING
Before drilling into the wall make sure that the screw positions avoid any pipe-work
or electrical cables. Allow 4 mm clearance between the screw head and the wall
for locating the unit.

WATER SUPPLY CONNECTION

Cold mains pressure water (refer to Specifications on page 26) for minimum water
pressures) must be piped and connected to the ½" BSP inlet fitting located on the left
hand side underneath the unit. An accessible isolating valve must be installed near
the unit. This unit contains an inlet strainer on the water inlet connection (refer to
figure 1 below). For rear entry connection on 3-10 litre models, we recommend that
you use prefabricate pipework for ease of connection.
