Operation
Basics
The tightening torque of tension screws of often specified in torque
plus degrees of angle, because the stretch of the screws is the
crucial factor. The torque reading may be misleading because of
contaminated or damaged threads and a specified torque may be
reached before the screw is sufficiently stretched.
Attention!
Many Tension screws can only be used once and
must be replaced after use! Please consult the repair
manual or the documentation from the manufacturer!
Operation
First, tighten the screw to the torque given by the manufacturer in
Newton-meters or Foot-pound. Then place the angular gauge
between the socket and the ratchet or breaker bar and use the
included bracket to fix it to the work piece. Then further tighten the
connection to the angle specified by the manufacturer.
