Feed force
To get full power out of the tool a feed force must be applied to bring the mech-
anism into the middle of its free travel in the handle.
Too high feed force results in reduced vibration damping, without increasing
the material removal, as the cylinder will hit the bottom in the handle.
The standard recoil spring (33) is designed for best vibration damping and con-
trol of the chipping process in most applications, see fig.
The enclosed alternative recoil spring (33a), with yellow paint marking, is
softer than the standard spring. If the tool is going to be used in a light applica-
tion where standard spring may be too hard, please mount the alternative spring
according to the enclosed instruction. Test the tool in your application and
chose the spring that works best.
