Electronic index for diaphragm gas meters
BK..ETB (DSMR)
Electronic index for reading out absolute meter read-
ings at base conditions and the valve position. The
index is only suitable for operation in conjunction with
a diaphragm gas meter BK... as a basis.
The meter must only be operated with an inlet pres-
sure the average of which over time corresponds to
the assumed pressure p
cal data).
The national statutory regulations must be observed.
This function is only guaranteed when used within the
specified limits – see page 5 (Technical data). Any
other use is considered as non-compliant.
▷ If the temperature extends outside the limits of
the temperature range, a warning is displayed
and an entry is generated in the error memory. In
addition, the electronic temperature conversion
will be switched off for the duration of the fault.
▷ If the flow rate range is exceeded by more than
20%, a warning is displayed and an entry is gen-
erated in the error memory.

Installing the gas meter

Gas meter with integrated valve
▷ If the integrated shut-off valve in the gas
meter is closed, it must be released, see
page 4 (Releasing the valve).
Operating the electronic index
▷ The display on the index is switched off.
• Briefly press the selection key.

▷ A beep sounds and the main screen appears.

▷ An internal buzzer gives audible feedback, e.g. a
short beep indicates a valve is open and a long
beep indicates a valve is closed. A short beep
sounds each time a key is pressed or if the unit
automatically changes back to the main screen.
▷ This function can be switched off.
