This section describes how to mount, adjust and install the pump.You get to know what to consider when you connect the pump to the electric mains supply and how to improve the flow in order to avoid dry running of the shaft seals.

Details about dry running To seal the pump shaft against the pump casing the mechan- ical seal needs lubrication between its rotating faces. This lubrication is provided by the pumped liquid. If the pump is fitted with a quench the lubrication for the quench must be provided from an external source.
