Overheating/pan protection

Each zone is equipped with overheating protection (internal
temperature limiter).
The ExtraSpeed cooking zone is also equipped with pan
protection. If you wish to use it you will need to alter the
setting (see "Programming / Pre-heat").
If the heating element switches on and off even when the
highest power level is selected, this indicates that the
overheating protection mechanism has triggered.
The cooking zone heating element switches off when the pan
protection mechanism is activated. "§" flashes and 9 flashes
alternately with 0 on the numerical keypad of the ExtraSpeed
cooking zone.
You can switch the cooking zone off or you can reactivate it
by touching "§" or by selecting another power setting.
Overheating can be caused by:
– a cooking zone being switched on without a pan on it.
– heating up an empty pan.
– the base of a pan not sitting evenly on the cooking zone.
– the pan not conducting heat properly.
