Gas Log Sets
A. Grate and Log Installation
WARNING
The positioning of the logs is critical to the safe and
clean operation of this heater. Sooting and other
problems may result if the logs are not properly
and firmly positioned in the appliance. Never add
additional logs or embellishments such as pine
cones, vermiculite or rock wool to the heater. Only
use the logs and rock wool supplied with the unit.
Failure to position the parts in accordance with
diagrams on the following pages or failure to use
only parts specifically approved for this heater may
result in property damage or personal injury.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
This unit requires the use of concrete logs. Do not handle
these logs with your bare hands. Always wear gloves
to prevent skin irritation from ceramic fibers. After
handling the logs, wash your hands gently with soap and
water to remove any traces of fibers.
B. LOG PLACEMENT MEZMER-18/24/30
LOG SETS
1. Place Rear Log (#1) on rear support. Figure 6.1
2. Place Front Log (#3) between burner and grate. Use
tab on right side as guide on grate. Figure 6.2
3. Place Middle Log (#2) on middle support. Log will sit
on right side of support. Rest bottom left corner on front
log in notch. Figure 6.3
4. Place Top Right Log (#4) by resting log on front and
middle log. Figure 6.4
5. Place last two logs (#5, #6) by resting logs on middle
and back logs. Figures 6.5a and 6.5b
NOTE: Logs #1, #2 and #3 have ridges on the bottom which
secure the logs to burner frame. After installing each log,
check to be sure it is stable.
